RAINBOW CONTROVERSY

Yesterday as I was traveling I posted to my facebook status some very interesting pictures of a double rainbow on the Ontario-Quebec Border. I did not realize at the time that these pictures would become such a political issue, but it did. Here is what happened.

I posted the pictures on facebook, but had previously declined to copy & paste the hoax “declaration” concerning my right to maintain total control of everything I post. Hence, Facebook not having seen my paste of the hoax declaration circulated worldwide my pictures of the double rainbow. Well apparently this set off a political firestorm as it seems that one side of the rainbows was on the Ontario side of the border and the other in Quebec. Immediately upon seeing this picture the Parti-Quebecois claimed the rainbow as their own saying it obviously originated in Quebec and was therefore a French rainbow. They immediately sent out the OLF with a sign to be posted at the start of the rainbow. A sign reading (Arc en ciel et aucune autre nom). The Language Police are apparently still running around on the border seeking the start of the rainbow but have yet to find it.  The Liberal Government upon hearing this immediately declared that they would be applying Austerity measures to the rainbow as there were two of them when only one was necessary, they were far too large, had way to many colors and the cost of maintaining them was not within the budget. When asked by the media to comment on the issue the CAQ simply responded they did not comment on things they knew nothing about. Well Given that there is an ongoing Federal election those politicians couldn’t wait to jump into the fray hoping for some last minute vote swings. The Conservatives simply stated they had no interest in the issue as it was not divisive, was not related to Niqab’s, National Security or fear mongering. The Liberals through their leader in his fake somewhat Parisians, quasi English-American-Quebecois accent said that he was in fact “Ready” to take on the issue of the double rainbow saying he would increase the public debt by One Billion dollars to relocate the Rainbows to neutral ground. (Unclear where that would be!). The NDP advised that a double Rainbow is very similar to their socialist values and stated the rainbows were for everyone except the rich (they can buy their own rainbows). The Bloc Quebecois simply stated, "we support whatever the Parti-Quebecois said". The Green Party through a few of their candidates camped on the grass near the rainbows on a nice wool blanket smoking a splif…simply stated…”way cool man” and then fell asleep. The mayor of Montreal never missing a media opportunity jumped in to state that the double rainbow was proof that no matter how much shit you pump into the river it has no adverse effect on the environment because if it did you wouldn’t be able to see Rainbows…. All the while failing to understand that the river does not in fact flow towards the Ontario-Quebec Border but in the opposite direction towards his best buddies City. The controversy made its way all the way into the US and the American Presidential candidates weigh in with their commentary. Clinton stating that she had never seen a rainbow, heard of a rainbow, been advised of a rainbow, warned of a rainbow  and that rainbows were simply a made up bi-partisan issue and no she never spoke of them in e-mails on her private server....The FBI immediately announced it would investigate and Congress called for a special hearings. The Republican Candidates refused to comment simply stating. “it does not matter what we say you will only be interested in what Trump has to say “. In closing Trump was then asked to comment. He simply stated with a ridiculous grin and scowl, “America makes the greatest rainbows in the world, better than the Canadian’s ,Japanese, Europeans and Chinese combined”. He also advised that if the rainbows were to ever start or end illegally in the US he would have a wall built around them or in case that failed he would deport them to Mexico. He then closed saying,"it was an unfair question"

Man I never thought a few simple pictures of a Double Rainbow could cause such a stir. Maybe I should have pasted that Hoax about copyright on my Facebook home page. You have to love politics!
