* THE CLOWN AND THE CONDOMS

PICTURE OF THE HEAD CLOWN AND HIS THREE RING CIRCUS.

Pope says condoms are not the solution to Aids - they make it worse. On his way to his first visit to Africa, Pope Benedict XVI told attendant members of the press that he believes encouraging condom use not only doesn’t help in the fight against AIDS, but actually worsens the situation. In his first public comments on condom use, the pontiff told reporters en route to Cameroon that Aids “is a tragedy that cannot be overcome by money alone, and that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problems”. Pope Benedict has previously stressed that the Roman Catholic Church is in the forefront of the battle against Aids. The Vatican encourages sexual abstinence to fight the spread of the disease.

After his election as Pope, Benedict described Aids as a “a cruel epidemic which not only kills but seriously threatens the economic and social stability of the continent”, but reiterated the Vatican ban on the use of condoms.

YOUR JOKING ME RIGHT? NO! I am, nor will I ever, cease to be amazed by the absolute insanity and down right flagrant absurdity of the "Establishment" (church) and its head clown. These people (I use that term loosely) and King BOZO have their heads so far up their asses on this issue that there is no likely hood that the light of day will ever be seen, or more importantly, ever acknowledged. The World Health Organisation responded saying, "These incorrect statements about condoms and HIV are dangerous when we are facing a global pandemic which has already killed more than 20 million people, and currently affects at least 42 million." The WHO said that "consistent and correct" condom use reduces the risk of HIV infection by 90 per cent".

Now who are you going to believe? A bunch of old, celibate (well if you don't count their interest in young boys), way beyond their time, robe wearing, double standard, double talking, beyond the truth assholes. Or are you more likely to believe the people at the World Health Organization; who have decicated people (doctors, nurses, etc) in the battle zone, at ground zero who spend their days experiencing and measuring the pure agony and destruction AIDS has inflicted on these people. Well I for one am going to side with the "WHO". I'm not going to side with them because I have serious issues with the "establishment" over all. I'm going to side with the "WHO" because not only they but just about every other respected organization which has spent any time studying (using true science and factual information) the question of condoms vs. abstinence will tell you outright that condoms go much further in helping not only limit sexually transmitted diseases but significantly impacts unwanted pregnancies. You see my friends here in lies the issue.

Do you think the "Establishment" wants to limit the number of births every year? Especially in predominantly Catholic regions? Do you think the "Establishment" actually cares about sexually transmitted diseases. No what it cares about is birth rates. Pure and simple. That unto itself is disgusting. What is by far more disgusting is the self appreciating, grandstanding, and moral authoritarian nonsense perpetrated by the "Establishment". As they fly in on a private jet that consumes net value of fuel which could feed a 1000 people in this region for a month. They are so far out of touch with this region and its problem that that same jet might as well be headed for the moon. Keep in mind friends that this is the same "Establishment" that for decades turned its back on the young children being abused by its clergy and protected those very same individuals; allowing them to stay in their positions and continue to abuse and assault young children. Just so you know BOZO that makes you and your ''Establishment'' morally bankrupt in my and many others eyes. Your ''Establishment'' is no different then the vultures which prey on innocent people in the Banking industry, Investment and Insurance industry. They are all "establishments" designed to make the rich richer and make the poorer...well...... DEAD!

Having children myself I am sickened by the notion that anything the "Establishment" might say could be in fact interpreted as good common sense by my children. Because it is so far from sense that even a science fiction writer would be embarrassed. I personally want strong dedicated individuals (doctors, nurses, social workers, caregivers, etc) with working experience on the matter, with concrete studies and science to be driving this issue and the solution to it. I want good strong educators promoting all options including abstinence without ruling out the use of Condoms as good common sense against hormone driven teenage desires (or adult ones for that matter). This issue is far to important, no critical not only for our own children (and Adults) but for those abroad who suffer and die needlessly as the "Establishment" and their head Clown continue to promote ideas with no foundations, polices with no results, and beliefs so outlandish that only people sitting under a BIG TOP (or in a church) would be likely to believe.

Hey Head Clown! Give those people some condoms and some of the 150 billion your "Establishment" is rumoured to be worth. Or maybe just take the ridiculous amount of money you pay lawyers to settle your closet pedophilia cases and donate that to "WHO". Then maybe some of us will be less likely to see you as nothing more then a Sunday matinee event. Goddamn Clowns!

What's the risk of HIV infection when you don't have sex? 0%.

If someone offered you a million dollars if you played Russian Roulette would you do it? Didn't think so. It isn't that hard to decide not to engage in life threatening behavior no matter how tempting or pleasing the payoff might seem.

Another example, how many men would have sex with a woman if they knew she was HIV positive? Even if they're told "Oh, if you wear a condom the chances of you contracting it are relatively small..." I'm guessing most men would still refuse.

  2. You cannot change human behaviour. You cannot surpress animalistic desire no matter how much religion you want to throw at it. It has nothing to do with Russian roulette, it has to do with reducing by 90% the chances. Thats what its about.

  3. "You cannot surpress animalistic desire"

This is just an excuse as humans have menstrual reproductive cycles. Dogs or cats go in heat and cannot control themselves whereas we do not and we can restrain our impulses. If a rapist defended himself in court by saying "It's not my fault, it's just human nature" would you consider that a credible defense?

"it has to do with reducing by 90% the chances. Thats what its about."

I'm no expert on condoms or HIV so I'll have to rely on information from those who are.

  4. Your joking right? Did you actually put up a link to the catholic news agency and try and refer to them as experts...please take your head out of your ass and start surfing the web at places like the National Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, or the World Health Organization..these organizations are made up of EXPERTS in the health field who i will turn to to educate me on issues of protection from deadly diseases..i certainly won't turn to the Catholic church..You were joking right? When you need a dentist do you go see your priest? Last time your eyes were bothering you did you head down to the nuns convent? You planning on having any major surgery done on you or your family by your local clergy. I mean for goodness sake you just refered to the Catholic Church as experts on condoms! What you just said here is absolutely foolish

As for your comment about rape you might want to refer those questions to the pedophiles masquerading as priests in the Catholic Church. What is it they used for a defense for the centuries of rape and abuse of young children? Huummm....wait..they didn't defend themselves the Vatican tried to sweep it under the rug and protect the pedophiles while their lawyers tried to reach out of court settlements with the victimes. Other then that your attempt to make a comparison to rape and the natural hormonal needs of Human beings its slightly more then a stretch.

  5. This is the first time I've encountered someone who can write without knowing how to read! You ever thought of going on TV? I'm sure quite a few scientists would be interested in your case as well. But in all seriousness, maybe you could try visiting the link before you waste your time writing pointless diatribes.

  6. Actually i have read Dr. Greens position and his agreement with the Vatican..so thanks but i can read...he is one researcher. Who has an opinion..in fact i appreciate Dr. Greens opinion however the reality is that abstinence and prayer aren't going to solve the problem in any of the African Horn areas where the disease is literally wiping entire clans off the map. So while he may have his position i'll still side with those the HEALTH industry actually ont he frontlines of this epidemic

  7. But you cannot suppress basic needs, like eating, sleep, the "need" to reproduce. We can control, yet not eliminate these needs. You cannot have sex any time or anywhere, or with anyone. People can learn to control this just as they can learn not to eat all the time (obviously this is very difficult for many people if you look at the amount of overweight people there are) Safe sex is more realistic than no sex. But it is very naive to think that by choosing celibacy that one is exempt from high-risk groups. Which area of the world do you live in? How safe is your neighbourhood? Is there a war in your country? Is your Uncle a Pedophofile? (Mine was. He did not seem very concerned with my choice to be celibate at the age of 10) So good luck convincing the masses to be celibate, I'm going to give my sons condoms and tell them to use them!

  8. Mr. Hellstrom, there are two critical flaws in your view on this situation. The first is you readily agree with organizations who have a vested interest in the HIV and AIDs epidemic in Africa. If McDonalds trumpeted the cause of fighting famine in Africa and airdropped thousands of cheeseburgers to poor villages you would be able to see the inherent problem with this, correct? So why do you have such difficulty seeing how it might be in the interest of certain private companies to promote condom use?

Secondly, you presume without knowing. You simply assume that condoms must help against HIV. Why? How do you know this? Do you have firsthand knowledge, did you examine infected patients, have you studied the HIV virus? You have not. Of course, neither have I. So we must trust the people who have. But whereas you casually dismiss 25 years of experience and scientific study I choose instead to trust Dr. Edward Green. You are also free to find sources that suit your preconceived convictions if you so desire but please do not try to write off concrete results as just "opinion" or a "position".

  9. Well first of all it might be a good idea to go beyond 1 researchers opinion. The simple fact is Condoms do two undeniable things. 1 They HELP (notice i didn't say stop or prevent)diminish the spread of Sexually transmitted diseases including AIDS. If your trying for one minute to say the contrary then just reference the actual testimony and experience of the health and social workers who were on the front line at the debut of the AIDS outbreak. Once the use of condoms was adopted by numerous health organizations the rate of the AIDS virus in developed countries has dropped significantly. This drop was DIRECTLY attibuted to the following, education, information, and the USE OF CONDOMS. 2nd Condoms help prevent unwanted pregnancies..and yes i know in the mind of the Catholic Church this is a terrible thing.

The argument here is not about which organization is involved in the attempt to help the people in developing nations. The argument or issue if you will is about one organization which has not the track record to stand on in relation to this topic (remember the Catholic Bishop from New York who claimed AIDS was Gods way of punishing the gays). Hence my argument is simply that the Church should not make outlandish statements without first measuring the worldwide impact they might have.

And your correct if you want to send your children out into the world armed only with the idea that abstinence and prayer are the solution to preventing them from contracting an STD that is entirely your right. For as you said its a matter of opinion. My opinion is i want my children educated with all available information.

  10. "They HELP (notice i didn't say stop or prevent)"

Why settle for less? Would you rather slow the spread of a disease or eradicate it completely?

"if you want to send your children out into the world armed only with the idea that abstinence and prayer are the solution to preventing them from contracting an STD that is entirely your right."

I don't have children but if I did I wouldn't have any qualms in doing what you suggest. Consider a country like the Philippines where the 90% and 5% Christian and Muslim population prefer abstinence and intercourse within couples over condoms. In fact, the Philippines reports some of the lowest rates of condom usage in Asia. What's their HIV rate? 0.01%.

But don't bother responding to this, I already know it doesn't matter how many statistics or studies I quote, your views on this issue won't change. We may as well focus on pursuing more productive matters.

  11. I'll respond only to say i have truly enjoyed the debate with you. Your points are well taken and you raise valid points. While you and i have different opinions it doesn't mean i don't respect your views. Please keep reading my blogs as i would enjoy again the opportunity to debate matters with you.

    All the best
